Q. Who can join Members 1st Credit
Union?
A. Anyone who
lives or works in
Q. What do I
need to have with me when opening a new Share Account (savings)?
A. You must have a VALID
Drivers license or Picture ID and PROOF of residency.
Children need to have a birth certificate and Social Security Card.
A. All new
members must open a Share Account with a minimum balance of $25.00, (must remain in the
account as long as you are a member.)
Q. I am 62. Do you have a free checking
account?
A. YES If you have your pension or social security direct deposited to your account, your checking is free, and you can get one box of BASIC checks free of charge per year.
We also
offer Platinum Checking free of charge as long as a $1000.00 minimum balance is
maintained. (0.25%apy* interest) If the balance goes below $1000.00 at any time
during the month, a fee of $5.00 will be charged.
Q. Do you offer a
debit card?
A. YES
Q. Is my money insured?
A. YES
All accounts
are insured by NCUA (National Credit Union Association) up to $250,000.00.
Q. Do you
have a credit card?
A. Members 1st Credit Union has a VISA card with a great rate of 10.9%**apr. There are no fees for cash advances and the rate is the same for cash advances.
Payments may be made in person at the credit union office, online on E-teller or by mail.
Q. Is there
a minimum balance on you checking accounts?
A. NO
Minimum balance is required on our regular Checking/Share Draft account.
AND there is no monthly fee if you have direct deposit of any kind. A $3.00 monthly charge is taken on the last business day of each month for any regular checking accounts that do not have direct deposit.
Q. Do you
offer mortgages and Home Equity loans?
A. YES

does it take for deposits to show on my Debit card balance?
